Following the loss of nationally acclaimed director, choreographer, and artistic mentor Bruce Wood this past year came a large absence in the dance community. His legacy has carried on with the bold force of BWDP President Gayle Halperin, 5YEARS was set in motion at the Performance Hall in Dallas to commemorate the 5 year anniversary of the BWDP. Art of Living MODERN was there to say, Halperin and Wood, we support you.

MARIO BELLINI
(1935 - )
Italian artist Mario Bellini has been one of the most notable designers in the fields of furniture and architecture for the majority of the 20th century. His work emphasizes the play between function and form and how the two translate blind of medium. He has reached international acclaim with manifold projects in Italy, Japan, and France, highlighted by a personal retrospective at the MoMA in New York in 1987. Bellini continues to work to this day.

JAMES MAGNI
(1960 - )
Nebraskan designer James Magni has carried Magni Design since 1988. His signature style is distinguished by the interaction of objects and space to create an environment. Scale, proportion and light all work in relation to one another to animate and elevate a space upheld by refinement and reduction. In addition, he has his own furniture and rug collection, and has consolidated his designs of all realms into a book, Magni Modernism. Named one of Architectural Digest's top 100 designers, he has worked in London, Paris, Mexico City, Saudi Arabia, New York and California.
